     Join ULI Pittsburgh’s Women’s Leadership Initiative as they partner with CREW Pgh for “The Art of the Deal.

    There are many accomplished women in Pittsburgh who can get the deal done.  The Art of the Deal will highlight the various stages of the Real Estate transaction and the women who get them done – the developers, brokers, and accountants.  Moderated by Lori Moran of Ballymoney Real Estate Services, hear from the accomplished finance women as they discuss the ever evolving real estate deal.

    Debbie Ogrodnik

    Debbie specializes in providing various tax services, including tax planning, entity structure, acquisition, divestiture, and tax analysis, to closely held and family owned businesses as well as to publicly held companies. She supervises the preparation of corporate, partnership, limited liability entity, fiduciary and individual tax returns. Debbie has extensive knowledge in corporate taxation, including consolidated returns, understanding and application of ASC 740 guidelines, multi-state taxation, and compliance for foreign investments. In addition to her client work, Debbie is a member of the Firm's Manufacturing and Distribution Real Estate teams. She also chairs the tax department's Process Improvement Committee. Areas served: manufacturing, wholesale, retail, distribution, construction, service, investment, and real estate management Debbie joined Sisterson in 2006 after spending eight years in private industry and public accounting in Ohio. She lives with her husband and two children in Upper St.Clair, PA.

    Christie Reiber

    Chief Investment Officer, NAI Burns Scalo

    As Chief Investment Officer, Christie is responsible for leading Burns Scalo Real Estates portfolio of debt, investments, and business development opportunities. She brings a wealth of knowledge in finance, equity, due diligence, investment underwriting, development, acquisitions, and dispositions. She has secured over $1 billion in commercial real estate transitions since joining BSRE in 2009. Before joining BSRE, Christie worked in public accounting gaining broad experience in auditing, financial reporting, and taxation. Christie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Robert Morris University.

    Megan Zillweger-Jones

    Megan has been with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital’s Pittsburgh office since 2002. As the Senior Transaction Manager, she plays a key role in facilitating the debt placement needs of both the clients and the lenders. She is involved in all aspects of the financing process from analyzing the deal to placing the loan with a lender. She is also responsible for managing and facilitating the loan closing process through daily interaction with borrowers, capital sources and third-party vendors. Over her career, she has been involved in the origination and closing of more than $1.5 billion of commercial real estate loans. Megan has worked in mortgage banking for more than 25 years. A Pittsburgh native, she holds a bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University, and she is a Past President of CREW Pittsburgh.

    Lori Moran

    Commercial real estate development including: Shopping center sales and acquisitions; land sales and acquisitions; site planning and development; permitting and environmental; site work; design and construction oversight; contracts, lease negotiation; marketing; management; all fiscal matters. Commercial property management including: Maintenance; construction oversight; marketing; lease negotiation; tenant relations; oversight of receivables/payables; all fiscal matters.

    Claudia Steeb

    Managing Director, JLL

    Claudia is a managing director in the Pittsburgh office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. She joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and investment advisory. She is primarily responsible for originating debt and equity transactions throughout the eastern United States and focuses on retail, office and self-storage properties and portfolio transactions. Throughout the course of her career, she has completed more than $14 billion in commercial real estate transactions. She has also underwritten, evaluated, financed and sold numerous regional malls. Claudia started at HFF in June 1995. Before that, she was an originator with Lane, Noland Smith & Co. (now Grandbridge Mortgage), after working for five years at U.S. Steel Corporation in the Realty Development and Audit divisions.
